The Covid-19 Pandemic, which we continue to see the effects of all over the world and in Turkey, and where the first cases have started to be reported since December 2019, has caused the death of many people and has negatively affected and continues to affect all countries economically and socially. It is possible to see that many epidemics or pandemics that threaten the health and life of people have been experienced before the coronavirus epidemic, which is stated to be one of the largest and destructive pandemics so far. In this study, the epidemics and pandemics that have recently emerged due to different factors in various parts of the world and threatened the health and life of people before the Covid-19 Pandemic, and the approach of our country to these events and the measures implemented are examined in detail.

Tüm Dünya’da ve Türkiye’de halen etkilerini görmeye devam ettiğimiz ve 2019 yılı Aralık ayından itibaren ilk vakaların bildirilmeye başlandığı Covid-19 Pandemisi birçok insanın ölümüne yol açarken, tüm ülkeleri ekonomik ve sosyal açıdan da olumsuz şekilde etkilemiş ve etkilemeye de devam etmektedir. Bu zamana kadar en büyük ve yıkıcı pandemilerden biri olduğu dile getirilen Koronavirüs salgını öncesinde de insanların sağlığını ve yaşamını tehdit eden birçok salgın hastalık veya pandeminin yaşandığını görmek mümkündür. Bu çalışmada, Covid-19 Pandemisi öncesinde yakın zamanda Dünya’nın çeşitli bölgelerinde farklı etkenler nedeniyle ortaya çıkmış ve insanların sağlığını ve yaşamını tehdit etmiş olan salgın ve pandemiler ve Ülkemizin bu olaylara yaklaşımı ve uygulanan tedbirler detaylı bir şekilde incelenmektedir.
