Abstract

The vast majority of natural lily species and genotypes in Turkey shows the spread of the Black Sea in the high parts of Anatolia is dominated by the northern climate. The genotypes of these endangered genotypes need to be identified, cultured and brought into the floriculture sector and their species should be prevented. The main aim of this study is to determine the bulb characteristics, plant height, number of flowers and full blossom diameter of the lilies naturally found in the higher parts of Ordu province, to protect our genetic resource which tends to disappear and to increase the diversity of ornamental plants by adding new varieties to the floriculture sector. In this study carried out in 7 different locations in 2012-2014, the difference between the mean values of bulb weight, bulb height, bulb circumference, root length, number of flowers, plant height, plant stem diameter was determined statistically. As a result; There was a statistically significant difference between bulb weight, bulb height, bulb circumference, root length, number of flowers, plant height, plant stem diameter between lily species and genotypes which were determined in different locations ( p<0.05 ).
