Abstract
The coseismic deformations caused by the February 6, 2023 Kahramanmaraş earthquake sequence (Mw 7.7 and Mw 7.6) were observed over a wide area across the Anatolian Plate. This study investigates the effects of these earthquakes on a GNSS network established around Mount Hasan volcano. A micro-geodetic network consisting of three continuous GNSS stations (HAS1, HAS2, HAS3) and ten campaign-style sites was used. Temporary coseismic displacements were detected using the VADASE system, while the data were analyzed through kinematic PPP (PRIDE PPP-AR) and static processing (GAMIT/GLOBK). Results indicate that the Pazarcık earthquake caused coseismic displacements of approximately 22 mm eastward and 4 mm northward at the continuous stations, whereas the Ekinözü earthquake produced smaller but distinct displacements. Epoch-shifting analyses of campaign sites reveal consistent coseismic deformation patterns across the network. The results show that large earthquakes can produce measurable co-seismic deformation in active volcanic systems, detectable through high-resolution GNSS VADASE analysis, contributing to improved monitoring and hazard assessment.
