Abstract

Aim:The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of sandblasting and different type of primer on the shear bond strength of monolithic zirconia and resin cement. Materials and Methods:50 disk-shaped (10 mm diameter and 3 mm thickness) monolithic zirconia was prepared and randomly divided in 5 groups (n=10): Group 1, control; Group 2, sandblasting with Al2O3; Group 3, sandblasting+MonoBond Plus application; Group 4, sandblasting+Z-prime Plus application; Group 5, sandblating+Alloy Prime application. The treated surface of specimens were bonded with composite resin cement. After cementation specimens were stored in distilled water for 24 h and shear bond test was performed by universal test machine. All data were analyzed by using one-way ANOVA, after means compared with Tukey HSD test. Results were significant for a=0.05. Results:Group 4 revealed the highest shear bond values (14.67 ± 1.78 MPa), and the lowest shear bond values were revealed at Group 1 (2.05 ± 0.58 MPa). Priming groups were showed significantly higher shear bond strength values than control and sandblasting group (p<0.05). Conclusion:Using phospate monomer containing primer combine with sandblasting can be improved the shear bond strength between monolithic zirconia and resin cement.

Özet

Amaç:Bu çalışmanın amacı, monolitik zirkonya restorasyonlara uygulanan kumlama ve farklı içerikli primerlerin monolitik zirkonya ile rezin siman arasındaki bağlantı dayanımına etkisini incelemektir. Gereç ve Yöntem:10 mm çapında 3 mm yüksekliğinde 50 adet disk şeklinde monolitik zirkonya örnek rastgele 5 gruba ayrıldı (n=10): Grup 1, kontrol grubu; Grup 2, Al2O3 ile kumlama; Grup 3, kumlama+Monobond Plus uygulaması; Grup 4, kumlama+Z-Prime Plus uygulaması; Grup 5, kumlama+Alloy Primer uygulaması olarak belirlendi. Örneklerin işlem gören yüzeylerine kompozit rezin siman polimerize edildi. Simantasyon işlemi sonrası örnekler 24 saat distile suda bekletildi ve üniversal test cihazı ile makaslama bağlanma dayanımı testi uygulandı. Sonuçların istatistiksel analizi tek yönlü ANOVA ile yapıldı ve sonrasında Tukey HSD testi kullanılarak gruplara ait ortalamalar karşılaştırıldı. Sonuçlar a=0.05 için anlamlı kabul edildi.
