Abstract

Acute renal infarction is quite rare. Thromboembolism plays a major role in the etiopathogenesis. The principal risk factors for acute renal infarction are atrial fibrillation, atherosclerosis, a history of embolism and heart diseases. It frequently affects the advanced age group and exhibits no gender bias. Patients generally have non-specific symptoms, such as flank pain, upper abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and fever. Since the clinical picture is not specific, diagnosis is delayed in many cases. We describe a 45-year-old patient presenting to our hospital with abdominal pain and vomiting and diagnosed with renal infarction at computerized tomography.

Özet

Akut etyolopatogenezinde tromboemboli major rol oynar.
