Abstract

Sarcoidosis is an autoimmune disease with granulomatous inflammation. The incidence of sarcoidosis in our contry is 4/ 100,000. The most common affected site is respiratory system, but systemic involvement should be kept in mind. A 54-year-old male patient presented to our clinic with cough and dispnea, loss of weight and appetite. On positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) images, involvement lesions in apical, apicoposterior and anterior segments in right lung upper lobe and left upper lobe were observed. In addition, involvement in 9.10. ribs and thoracic vertebrae, chest wall, sacrum and left femur were also observed. A biopsy from the sternum was obtained for the differential diagnosis of metastatic lung cancer. Pathology was diagnosed as benign. In patients with lung and bone lesions, bone metastasis of lung malignancy as well as bone involvement of sarcoidosis should be kept in mind.
