Abstract

Bean is a legume species produced as fresh and dried bean in Turkey. Although the responses ofvarious plant species to sulphur treatments have been studied, there is not enough studies determiningthe responses of legume species to the applications of sulphur. In this study, four bean cultivarstreated with 3 different sulphur doses (0, 5, 10 kg/da) were cultivated according to a factorial randomblock experimental design with 3 replications for two years in the field conditions. At the end of thestudy, it was determined that the sulphur treatments had significant influence on the plant weight, thenumber of shoots, the number of pods, the number of seeds per plant, 1000 seed weight, harvestindex, yield per plant and total yield.
