Abstract
Granulomatous diseases, foreign bodies, trauma, surgical procedures, and the use of high pressure intubation tubes are the most common causes of acquired benign tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF). More frequent use of invasive procedures such as intubation, tracheostomy and mechanical ventilation increases the frequency of benign tracheoesophageal fistula development, especially in intensive care patients. In this case report, the patient with a history of total laryngectomy operation, aspirated the audio device secondary to the use of excessive force and the connection of the device to the gastrointestinal system due to the existing tracheoesophageal shunt.
Özet
Granülomatöz hastalıklar, yabancı cisimler, travma, cerrahi prosedürler ve yüksek basınçlı entübasyon tüplerinin kullanımı edinsel benign trakeoözofageal fistül (TÖF) gelişiminin en sık sebeplerindendir. Özellikle yoğun bakım hastalarında entübasyon, trakeostomi ve mekanik ventilasyon gibi invaziv işlemlerin daha sık kullanılır olması benign trakeoözofageal fistül gelişim sıklığını artırmaktadır. Bu olgu sunumunda total larenjektomi operasyon hikayesi olan hastanın ses cihazını fazla güç kullanımına sekonder aspire etmesi ve hali hazırda bulunan trakeoözefageal şantı olması nedenli cihazın gastrointestinal sisteme iştiraki sunulmaya çalışılmıştır.
