Abstract
Aim: This study aimed to determine the level of senior nursing students' achievement of the program outcomes of undergraduate education. Material and Methods: The study was conducted between 10 June-01 August 2023 with fourth-year nursing students at a state university, Department of Nursing. An explanatory design, mixed-methods approach, was used in the study. The quantitative phase of the study was completed with n=50 students. In the qualitative phase of the study, focus group interviews were conducted with three different groups (n=21 students). "Introductory Information Form," "Assessment Form for Graduates' Level of Achievement of Programme Outcomes," and "Focus Group Interview Form" were used to collect the data. Results: In the quantitative phase of the study, senior nursing students scored above seven (7.8-8.8) on ten program outcomes. The level of achievement for the program outcome, "Follows the information in the field by using at least one foreign language and communicates with colleagues," was determined as 65.4%. In the qualitative phase of the study, data were conceptualized under three themes through descriptive analysis in the qualitative research stage. Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı; mezun durumundaki hemşirelik öğrencilerinin lisans eğitimi program çıktılarına ulaşma düzeylerinin belirlenmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma 10 Haziran-01 Ağustos 2023 tarihlerinde bir devlet üniversitesi Hemşirelik Bölümü mezun durumundaki dördüncü sınıf öğrencileri ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada karma araştırma yöntemlerinden açıklayıcı desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel aşaması n=50 öğrenci ile tamamlanmıştır. Araştırmanın nitel aşamasında, üç farklı (n=21 öğrenci) grupla odak grup görüşmesi yapılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin toplanmasında, “Tanıtıcı Bilgiler Formu”, “Mezun Durumundaki Öğrencilerin Program Çıktılarına Ulaşma Düzeyleri Değerlendirme Formu” ve “Odak Grup Görüşme Formu” kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmanın nicel aşamasında; mezun durumundaki hemşirelik öğrencilerinin 10 program çıktısına ulaşma düzeylerine ilişkin yedi ve üzerinde puan ortalamasına sahip olduğu (7.8-8.8) belirlenmiştir. Program çıktısı “En az bir yabancı dili kullanarak alanındaki bilgileri izler ve meslektaşlarıyla iletişim kurar.” için ulaşma düzeyi %65.4 olarak belirlenmiştir.
