Abstract

Changes in many areas with the digitalization process affect especially business life and professions. Digital technologies continue to develop continuously. This continuity also forces accounting employees who are trying to continue as required by the digital age to become more competent constantly. In this study, it was tried to determine the digital competence levels of accounting employees. For this purpose, the “Digital Competence Scale” has been applied to the professional members and employees registered with Batman-Siirt Chamber of Certified Public Accountants Financial Advisors. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained; it was determined that the digital competence levels of the professional members increase in direct proportion to age, education level and professional experience. Therefore, it is seen that the performance of the profession has a significant impact on the acquisition of digital competence. In today's world, where technological developments such as artificial intelligence continue rapidly, it has become clear that vocational trainings should be provided more frequently, especially for new digital applications. Özet

Dijitalleşme süreciyle birlikte birçok alanda meydana gelen değişimler özellikle iş hayatını ve meslekleri etkilemektedir. Dijital teknolojiler sürekli olarak gelişmeye devam etmektedir. Bu süreklilik dijital çağın gerektirdiği şekilde devam ettirmeye çalışan muhasebe çalışanlarını da sürekli olarak daha yetkin olmaya zorlamaktadır. Bu çalışmada muhasebe çalışanlarının dijital yetkinlik düzeyleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla, Batman-Siirt Serbest Muhasebeciler Mali Müşavirler Odası’na kayıtlı meslek mensuplarına ve çalışanlarına “Dijital Yetkinlik Ölçeği” uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizi sonucunda; meslek mensuplarının dijital yetkinlik seviyelerinin yaş, eğitim düzeyi ve mesleki deneyimle doğru orantılı olarak yükseldiği belirlenmiştir. Dolayısıyla, dijital yetkinliğin edinilmesinde mesleğin icrasının önemli etkisinin bulunduğu görülmektedir. Başta yapay zekâ gibi teknolojik gelişmelerin hızla devam ettiği günümüzde, özellikle yeni dijital uygulamalara yönelik mesleki eğitimlerin daha sık verilmesinin gerekliliği açıkça ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu çalışmanın anket uygulaması için Adıyaman Üniversitesi Sosyal ve Beşeri Bilimler Etik Kurulu tarafından 13/06/2024-77 sayılı kararı ile etik kurul izni verilmiştir.
