In Adalet Ağaoğlu’s theatre, the stage functions as a representational space where female identity gains visibility. One of the central themes in this representation is the symbolic violence to which women are subjected in everyday life. Based on this perspective, the present study examines how female characters are represented in Adalet Ağaoğlu’s plays, how these representations are socially produced within a gendered framework, and in what forms symbolic violence operates within this process of representation and production. In line with this, the author’s theatrical texts, including radio plays, written from the 1950s to the early 1990s, have been analyzed with a focus on female representation and symbolic violence. Using a qualitative research method within an interpretive approach, the analysis identified two main themes: gender and symbolic violence, and resistance strategies developed against symbolic violence. Adalet Ağaoğlu’nun tiyatrosunda sahne kadın kimliğinin görünürlük kazandığı bir temsil mekanıdır. Bu temsilde merkezi temalardan biri kadınların gündelik yaşamda maruz kaldıkları sembolik şiddettir. Bu noktadan hareketle bu çalışmada Adalet Ağaoğlu’nun oyunlarında kadın karakterlerin nasıl temsil edildiği, toplumsal cinsiyet merkezinde bu temsillerin sosyal olarak nasıl üretildiği ve sembolik şiddetin bu temsil ve üretim sürecinde hangi biçimlerde işlediği ele alınmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda yazarın radyo oyunları da dahil olmak üzere 1950’lerden 1990’lı yılların başına uzanan dönemde kaleme aldığı tiyatro metinleri kadın temsili ve sembolik şiddet odağında analiz edilmiştir. Yorumlayıcı yaklaşım doğrultusunda nitel araştırma tekniği kullanılarak gerçekleştirilen analiz sonucunda iki ana tema ortaya çıkmıştır: toplumsal cinsiyet ve sembolik şiddet, sembolik şiddete karşı geliştirilen direniş stratejileri.
