Within the framework of the definition of “subject” in the poem “Heyder Baba’ya Selam”, it is necessary to speak not of a subject in the form of a being who wants to reach the truth, but of a subject who is isolated from the world, who watches it, analyses it, and constructs his own world and the truth about it. Heyder Baba’ya Selam, there is a subject who begins to hear his own voice. In other words, there is a subject of poetry that calls out to the ideal centred on sensation and mind. This subject rises above its own reality and the belonging it creates and encompasses the Turkish desire and the universe of images. Türk dünyasının köklü seslerinden Muhammed Hüseyin Şehriyar’ın şiirinde, kimlik ile görünür kılınan ben ve üçüncü şahıslar ideolojik, ahlakî veya kültürel kodlarla yeniden şekillenir. Şair tarafından yaratılan öznenin içinde tanrılığa soyunmuş, hakikati dillendiren bir konuma yükselmiş, hükmeden ve gücü elinde bulunduran bir ben ve bu benin özünü anlatmak için kullanılan diğer özneler (üçüncü şahıslar) mevcuttur. Heyder Baba’ya Selam şiirinde “özne” tanımı çerçevesinde, gerçeğe ulaşmak isteyen varlık şeklindeki özneden değil, dünyadan yalıtılmış, onu izleyen, tetkik eden, kendi dünyası ile ona dair hakikati inşa eden bir özneden söz etmek gerekir. Heyder Baba’ya Selam’da kendi sesini duymaya başlayan bir özne vardır. Yani duyum ve zihin merkezli ideale seslenen bir şiir öznesi mevcuttur.
