Abstract

A new dinuclear MnII compound C42H62Mn2N2O10.C2H6O is synthesised, and X-ray diffraction, IR, UV and photoluminescence measurements were performed. According to structural analysis studies, the compound has a bis(hydoxy)(carboxylato)-bridged dinuclear MnII structure. Each MnII atom has an axially elongated, distorted octahedral geometry. The compound exhibits paramagnetic properties. Photoluminescence studies of the compound reveal that it shows a shift compared to the H₂L ligand. The compound emits blue light and is a suitable candidate for blue light-emitting diodes. It could contribute to the advancement of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and the innovation of optical materials
