Abstract

In multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) processes, linear models where high performance in one criterion can compensate for critical weakness in another pose serious risks in sectors where process safety is essential, such as the automotive industry. Traditional Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) applications conducted via static spreadsheets fall short in meeting the speed requirements of Industry 4.0 due to their static structures, lack of autonomous decision-making capabilities, and vulnerability to subjective evaluation. In this study, a serverless and web-based Decision Support System (DSS) architecture, introduced to the literature as VDAHP, is proposed. VDAHP integrates the AHP method with the VDA 6.3 process audit standard of the German Association of the Automotive Industry as a logical barrier. Thanks to its JavaScript-based engine, the software passes candidates through an uncompromisable "quality threshold" before scoring and autonomously disqualifies those scoring below 80. Unlike traditional AHP, the system utilizes a Smart Checklist with 25 sub-criteria for objective scoring, simulates different strategic scenarios (Cost, Quality, Delivery oriented) with a single click, and generates autonomous purchasing plans via multi-supplier capacity optimization. Furthermore, all decision processes are made traceable through the developed corporate memory module and dynamic reporting interface. The calculation accuracy of the developed VDAHP system was subjected to cross-verification with MS Excel models, proving that the software operates mathematically error-free (with 0.001 precision).
