Hastalarda fonksiyonel ve estetik problemlere neden olan dişeti çekilmelerinin tedavisi periodontolojide önemli konular arasında yer almaktadır. Dişeti çekilme defektlerinin tedavisinde amaç yapışık dişeti boyut ve yüksekliğini arttırarak, tam bir kök yüzey örtümünün sağlanmasıdır. Bu amaçla çeşitli mukogingival cerrahi yöntemleri kullanılmaktadır. Bu derlemede dişeti çekilme defektlerinde tedavi yaklaşımları ve kök kapama başarıları özetlenmiştir.
