Abstract

Various complications can occur in block graft applications, which is soft tissue dehiscence. Soft tissue dehiscence occurs when the tissue integrity of the surgical area is compromised following a graft procedure, leading to partial exposure of the graft material. This case series is intended to shed light on the causes and management of soft tissue dehiscence following block graft applications. Two cases were included in this case series. In these cases, soft tissue dehiscence occurred following block graft augmentation using the Khoury technique. Despite the presence of dehiscence in both cases after 6 months, bone gain and organized bone formation were observed. Accordingly, in the absence of signs of infection, bone gain can be achieved despite bone resorption even in the presence of soft tissue dehiscence.
