Abstract
The purpose of this study was to develop a valid and reliable scale to measure the competence of Religious Affairs personnel in dealing with contemporary faith problems. A mixed-method design, exploratory sequential design, was used in the study. The data required for the scale were obtained from a sample of Religious Affairs personnel. 70 (26.3%) of the sample were female and 197 (73.8%) were male. The minimum age of the sample was 20 and the maximum was 65. The mean age of the sample was calculated as 41.47. The study yielded a structure consisting of 19 items and four factors. This structure explained 62.29% of the total variance. The structure obtained from the exploratory factor analysis was tested with confirmatory factor analysis, and this structure was confirmed. The fit indices of the resulting model are x2/sd=1.81, RMSEA=.055, RMR=.041, GFI=.909, AGFI=.879, CFI=.951, and IFI=.951. In the reliability analyses of the scale, Cronbach's alpha was found to be .925. Based on these findings, the scale is considered valid and reliable.

Bu araştırmanın amacı diyanet personelinin çağdaş inanç problemleriyle baş etme yeterliliklerini ölçmeye yönelik geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek geliştirmektir. Araştırmada karma yöntem desenlerinden keşfedici sıralı model kullanılmıştır. Ölçek için gerekli veriler diyanet görevlilerinden oluşan bir örneklemden elde edilmiştir. Örneklemin 70’i (%26,3) kadın, 197’si ise (%73,8) erkektir. Örneklemin yaşı en düşük 20, en yüksek ise 65’tir. Örneklemin yaş ortalaması ise 41,47 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda 19 madde ve 4 faktörden oluşan bir yapı elde edilmiştir. Bu yapı toplam varyansın % 62,29’unu açıklamaktadır. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda elde edilen yapı, doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ile test edilmiş ve bu yapının doğrulandığı görülmüştür. Ortaya çıkan modelin uyum indeksleri x2/sd=1,81, RMSEA=.055, RMR=.041, GFI=.909, AGFI=.879, CFI=.951, IFI=.951 şeklindedir.
