Abstract
Mersin University Faculty of Medicine Lokman Hekim Journal of History of Medicine and Folkloric Medicine is published three times a year. It is a peer-reviewed journal scanned in the National Academic Network and Information Center (ULAKBİM) and international indexes. The aim of this study is to form an idea about the scientific contribution of the journal to the history of medicine and ethics by analyzing a total of 449 articles published in the journal between 2011-2023, excluding the special issues. Method. The archive section of the Mersin University Faculty of Medicine Lokman Hekim Journal of Medical History and Folkloric Medicine on the web page in Dergipark was examined between February 15-28, 2023. Results. Except for the special issues published between 2011-2023, 13 volumes and 37 issues were included in the study. According to the article titles and the information of the authors, the types of the articles, the subject areas of the articles and the areas of the authors were determined and tabulated. It has been studied on 449 articles. As a result, it is possible to say that the fact that the articles in Mersin University Faculty of Medicine Lokman Hekim Journal of Medical History and Folkloric Medicine are the most research articles in the analysis shows the interest in the research in the field and has gained importance in recent years in the letter to the editor.

Mersin Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Lokman Hekim Tıp Tarihi ve Folklorik Tıp Dergisi her yıl üç defa yayınlanmaktadır. Ulusal Akademik Ağ ve Bilgi Merkezi’nde (ULAKBİM) ve uluslararası alan indexlerinde taranan hakemli bir dergidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı ise 2011-2023 yılları arasında dergide özel sayılardakiler hariç yayınlanan toplam 449 makalenin analizini yaparak derginin tıp tarihi ve etik alanına bilimsel katkısı hakkında fikir oluşturmaktır. Yöntem. Mersin Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Lokman Hekim Tıp Tarihi ve Folklorik Tıp Dergisi’nin Dergiparkta yer alan web sayfasındaki arşiv bölümü 15-28 Şubat 2023 tarihleri arasında irdelenmiştir. Bulgular. Çalışmaya 2011-2023 yılları arasında yayınlanan özel sayılar hariç 13 cilt, 37 sayı dâhil edilmiştir. Makale başlıkları ve yazarların bilgilerine göre makalelerin türleri, makale konu alanları, yazarlarının alanları belirlenerek tablo haline getirilmiştir. 449 makale üzerinde çalışılmıştır. Sonuç olarak Mersin Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Lokman Hekim Tıp Tarihi ve Folklorik Tıp Dergisinde makalelerin analizide en çok araştırma makalesi olması alanda araştırmaya olan ilgiliyi gösterdiğini ve editöre mektubunda son yıllarda önem kazandığını söylemek mümkündür.
