Abstract

Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the assessments of organizational health literacy among nurses working in a public hospital. Method: This descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted with 229 nurses working in a public hospital between January 17, 2024 and March 17, 2024. Data were collected using a survey technique with a personal characteristics form and the Health Literate Health Care Organization-10 Questionnaire [HLHO-10]) with a 7-point Likert scale. Descriptive statistics were presented using number, percentage, minimum-maximum and mean±standard deviation values. T-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used to analyze the data and all results were considered statistically significant if p 0.05). Conclusion: It is recommended that organizational health literacy be included in the institution’s quality studies, information screens be used in the institution, visual/auditory resources such as brochures and videos that will increase awareness be developed and in-service training be organized.
