Abstract
New museological approach of 21st century has brought forward the concept of democratic museum with a progressive perspective and it has also added the functions of new museums into literature within the Code of Ethics of International Council of Museums (ICOM). Social functions of museums have stepped forward and have been renewed with the concepts such as social inclusion, democratization, participation, egalitarian museum and brave museum. Based on the social functions of museums, in order to form and improve the contemporary understanding, the preparation of museum staff as professionals in the new age is significant throught the new approaches in museum education. 21. yüzyılın yeni müzecilik anlayışı, ilerlemeci yaklaşım ve demokratik müze kavramlarını gündeme getirmektedir. Dolayısıyla toplumsal işlevleri diğer işlevlerinin bir adım önüne geçen çağdaş müzeler çeşitlenen rolleriyle sosyal içeren, demokratik, katılımcı, eşitlikçi ve cesur gibi kavramlarla adlandırılmakta ve Uluslararası Müzeler Konseyi’nin (ICOM) Etik Kodlarında yeni sıfatlarıyla yer almaktadır. Bu bağlamda çağdaş müzecilik ya da yeni müze bilim kavramlarına profesyonel çerçevede yaklaşmak, bu kavramları teorik ve uygulamalı olarak izlemek ve müze çalışanlarını bu kavramları karşılayacak yeterlikte hazırlamak önem kazanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada müzelerin toplumsal işlevlerine bağlı olarak gündeme gelen "eğitim" işlevine yönelik çağdaş uygulamaları belirlemek ve müze eğitimcilerinin çeşitlenen görev ve sorumluluklarını örneklerle tartışmak amaçlanmaktadır.
