Abstract
Railway systems, which are one of the most important factors that make industrialization possible, are losing their importance as a result of technological developments today and cannot meet the needs. For this reason, in many parts of the world, the transformation of railway heritage structures into multi-functional transportation structures, which is needed in the 21st century, has started to be discussed. Our country aims to provide European standards to a large extent with railway transportation and newly built railway structures in. For this reason, the changes in the routes of the trains and the closure of the stops on the route, together with the YHT lines whose construction is accelerating, cause many station buildings to remain idle. The increase in academic studies on railway structures and railway heritage in recent years brings with the thought that we are concerned about the extinction of our national railway heritage. Within the scope of the study, other examples around the world were examined, and a model proposal was made for Konya Historical Station Complex, which is one of our national railway heritage structures as a result of the SWOT analysis and survey application, taking into account the European standards and the foreseen transportation structures.

Endüstrileşmeyi olanaklı kılan en önemli faktörlerden olan demiryolu sistemleri bugün yaşanan teknolojik gelişmeler neticesinde önemlerini yitirmekte ve ihtiyaçları karşılayamamaktadır. Bu nedenle dünyanın pek çok yerinde demiryolu mirası yapılarının 21. yüzyıl ihtiyacı olan çok fonksiyonlu ulaşım yapılarına dönüştürülmüştür. Ülkemiz demiryolu taşımacılığı ve yeni inşa edilen demiryolu yapıları ile Avrupa standartlarını büyük ölçüde sağlamayı hedeflemektedir. Bu nedenle inşası hızlanan YHT hatları ile beraber trenlerin güzergâhlarının değişmesi ve güzergâh üzerindeki durakların kapatılması çok sayıda istasyon binasının atıl kalmasına neden olmaktadır. Demiryolu yapılarına ve demiryolu mirasına yönelik yapılan akademik çalışmalarda son yıllarda meydana gelen artış, ulusal demiryolu mirasımızın yok olma endişesi içerisinde olduğumuz düşüncesini beraberinde getirmektedir. Çalışma kapsamında dünya üzerindeki diğer örnekler incelenmiş, Avrupa standartları ve ön görülen ulaşım yapıları göz önünde bulundurularak, SWOT analizi ve anket uygulaması sonucunda, ulusal demiryolu mirasında önemli yer tutan Konya Tarihi Gar Kompleksine yönelik model önerisi getirilmiştir.
