In this study, the relationship between corporate governance and firm performance is investigated using the data from the firms operating in the developed countries and emerging countries. The results of analysis showed that the firm performance has statistically significant negative relationship with duality and board size. On the other hand, firm size and efficiency of total assets have positive effect on the firm performance
Özet
Bu çalışmada imalat sanayi firmalarında kurumsal yönetim uygulamalarının firma performansına etkileri, gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerdeki firmalar aracılığıyla incelenmiştir. Analizler sonucunda, firmada ikilik uygulaması ile yönetim kurulu büyüklüğündeki artışın performans üzerinde negatif etki yaptığı saptanmıştır. Diğer yandan, firma performansının, firma büyüklüğü ile varlıkların etkin kullanımındaki artıştan olumlu yönde etkilendiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
