Abstract

Myasthenia gravis is an important disease for anesthesiologists due to effect on neuromuscular junction, which commonly seen in 2nd or 3rd decade of life. There is increased sensitivity to non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocking drugs and relative resistance to depolarizing agent in patients with myasthenia gravis. Regional anesthesia can be performed safely in myasthenic patients for both vaginal labour or caesarean section. In this article, epidural anesthesia performed in a 33 years old woman who has doubt of myastenia gravis was presented.
