Bu çalışmada, geri dönüşümün üretim maliyetlerine etkisi incelenerek, kağıt karton sektöründe bir uygulama yapılmıştır. Öncelikle, geri dönüşüm kavramı, avantajları ve aşamalarına yer verilmiş, geri dönüşümün üretim maliyetlerine etkisi teorik olarak incelenmiştir. Ardından kağıt karton sektöründe bir işletme seçilerek, geri dönüşümlü mamul ve 0’dan elde edilen mamulün üretim maliyetleri karşılaştırılmış ve geri dönüşümlü mamulün üretim maliyetlerinin daha düşük olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
