Türk milleti, Türk tarihinin en zor döneminde Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’ün önderliğinde büyük bir dönüşüm gerçekleştirmiştir. Bu dönüşüm esnasında Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’ün tek dayanağı kendisinin de bir mensubu olduğu Türk halkı olmuştur. Bu dönüşümün başlangıcında emperyalist güçler hem şaşırmışlar hem de çılgın bir hareket olarak düşünmüşlerdir. Ancak, Atatürk Türk Milleti’nden Türk Milleti de Atatürk’ten güç alarak zor ve çileli bir savaşa girişmişler, inandıkları zaere ulaşmışlardır.
