Based on this reality, the book entitled “Children's Literature and Sensitivity Education” and written by Prof. Dr. Canan Aslan first draws a conceptual framework on the concepts of “children's literature” and “sensitivity”, and then embodies these concepts through a work of children's literature. Çocuk edebiyatı ürünleri, örtük iletileri yoluyla okurlarını duygu ve düşünce yönünden zenginleştirir, onlara başkalarıyla eşduyum kurma olanağı tanır. Prof. Dr. Canan Aslan’ın yazmış olduğu “Çocuk Edebiyatı ve Duyarlık Eğitimi” adlı kitap, bu gerçeklikten yola çıkarak önce “çocuk edebiyatı” ve “duyarlık” kavramlarıyla ilgili kavramsal bir çerçeve çizmekte ardından da bir çocuk edebiyatı yapıtı üzerinden bu kavramları somutlaştırmaktadır. Çalışmamızda, Aslan’ın beş bölümden oluşan kitabı; yazılış amacı, alandaki yeri, içeriği bakımından ele alınıp tanıtılmaya çalışılmıştır.
