Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the key drivers and barriers influencing the digitalization processes of logistics service providers (LSPs) in Turkey. A single holistic case study design was used for the research. Semi-structured interviews were used as the data collection method, and interviews were conducted with 25 participants selected using a purposeful sampling technique focused on maximum diversity. Data analysis was conducted using a deductive thematic analysis method. According to the research findings, factors such as operational and financial performance improvement, employee satisfaction, work health, competitive pressure, and customer expectations drive LSPs toward digitalization, while financial resource shortages, low profit margins, data security concerns, and managerial and employee mindset act as barriers to digitalization.
