Abstract Nonpharmacological Methods for Management of Labor Pain Labour pain is such a condition that is influenced by neurophysiological, biochemical, psychogenic, ethnocultural, religious, cognitive, emotional and environmental factors. In other words, it is a defence mechanism of the body against an internal and external stimuli. Following the involvement of a physiological mechanism, it should be considered from a broad perspective during the time period of which psychological mechanisms become effective by the influence of environmental factors. The techniques that reduce the pain while maintaining the health conditions of mother and fetus at the best level should be implemented effectively. In this article, it was aimed to review the current information on nonpharmacological approaches for management of labor pain.
