Abstract

One of the most important economic phenomena of our age is the accumulation of the capital in the hands of certain companies and the investment and production activities of these companies which are called multinational companies reach great values. Multinational companies are trying to maximize their profits while eradicating the tax incomes of countries by effectively using the opportunities that globalization provides them. Within this framework multinational companies making aggressive tax planning by using thin capitalization, treaty shopping, contract manufacturing, investing in or transferring profits to tax havens and transfer pricing try to keep tax burden minimum to maximize their profit. ın this study; transfer pricing regulations which is the one of the aggressive tax planning methods most commonly used by multinational companies were evaluated for Turkey and selected countries. In this context, it has been determined that countries have planned transfer pricing audit processes in detail and have already disclosed the contents of each phase to the taxpayer in advance and have used the right of taxpayer appeal more effectively. Turkey has not explained the audit process in detail, using the same methods and techniques as other countries examined.
