Abstract

Europe Regional Policies aim to provide economic and social cohesion by eliminate development differences between regions for the sustainability of Union and achieve to final aims. It requires the some incentives, especially structural funds which for attraction of mass investments towards especially undeveloped regions. However, the efficiency of structural funds is controversial from both theoretical and empirical aspects which are continuing for a long timeStudy includes analysis of the effects of structural funds on private fixed capital formations in EU-25 countries while 2004-2013 by Spatial Autoregressive Lag - Fixed Effects Panel Model. The results show that structural funds have diverter effects on decisions of private fixed capital formations but negligible. At the same time, public fixed capital formations have positive and statistically significant impacts like as complementarity. Also, the findings of the model indicate that the presence of a major spatial effect on the private fixed capital formations like competition in EU-25 countiries
