Abstract

Consumers primarily seek to be smart decision-makers by carefully studying alternatives to reduce risks. Consumers, especially in developing countries who use the internet and online shopping infrequently, are significantly aware of the risks associated with online shopping. According to research, as a result, online trade and purchasing processes have not yet reached the expected levels. For online sales and purchases to thrive and for e-commerce to reach the required levels, online marketers must first recognize the perceived risks that concern online shoppers. In this context, this study aims to explore the extent to which perceived risks affect online shopping behavior. The study reached a set of results, including a statistically significant negative impact of perceived risks, which include product, financial, social, time, and security risks, on online shopping behavior.
