\r\n Gelir yaratan ve kamu otoritelerinden gizlenen faaliyetler bütünü olarak tanımlanabilecek kayıtdışı ekonomi, bir ülkede ekonomik göstergelerin gerçekleri doğru yansıtmamasına, dolayısıyla da hatalı ekonomi politikalarının uygulanmasına yol açmaktadır. Özellikle, üst üste yaşanan ekonomik krizlerin kamu kesimi borçlanma gereğinden kaynaklandığı konusundaki geniş mutabakat, kayıtdışı ekonomiyi Türk ekonomisinin de en önemli konularından biri konumuna getirmiştir.
