However, certian changes are applied to such words which in a certain sense can be understood as autocensoring. This paper shows the changes applied to obscene, rude and swear words. \r\n Gazete ve dergilerde kullanımı 1980’lerden itibaren yaygınlaşan küfürlü, müstehcen ve kaba ifadelerde kelimelerin aynen yazılmadığı görülür. Bu çalışmada müstehcen, kaba ve küfürlü söz ve ifadelerin yazımlarında ne gibi değişiklikler olduğu örneklerle gösterilmektektir. Çalışmaya alınan örnekler, ortak noktaların sınıflandırılmasıyla sıralanmıştır: kelimeden ses atılması, metatez, kelimeye ses eklenmesi, bazı seslerin değiştirilmesi gibi.\r\n
