Their stories, "Boz Eşek" and "Hişt Hişt" are compared in this study. With this analyse their features of narration styles are showed. \r\n Bu çalışmada, Maupassant tarzı hikâyeciliğin belirgin örneklerini veren yazarlardan biri olan Refik Halit'in, "Boz Eşek" adlı hikâyesi ile Çehov tarzı hikâyeciliğe yakın üslubuyla tanınan Sait Faik'in "Hişt Hişt" hikâyeleri karşılaştırılmıştır. İki metnin çözümlenmesinden hareketle bu metinlerde öne çıkan dil ve üslup gösterilmiş; Sait Faik'in hikâyeciliğinde, yalnızca Çehov tarzı hikâye üslubu ile açıklanamayacak unsurların varlığı tespit edilmiştir.
