Abstract
Today, tissue expansion is an often preferred method in scalp reconstruction. This technique originated in the late 1950's and was adapted to scalp defects by Argenta and Manders. In this way large wounds can be totally resurfaced while normal hair is maintained with no a new donorsite morbidity. Therefore importance of this method still persists. In this article, intra operative re-usage of tissue expander is presented for closure of a large scalp defect. Key words: Scalp defect, tissue expander, tissue expansion.
Özet
Doku genişletme uygulamaları günümüzde skalp rekonstrüksiyonunda sık tercih edilen bir yöntemdir. Bu teknik 1950 li yılların sonlarında Argenta ve Manders tarafından skalp defektlerinin onarımı için kullanılmıştır. Geniş saçlı deri defektlerinin, normal saçla kapanmasına olanak sağladığı ve vücudun başka bir yerinde donör alan morbiditesi oluşturmadığı için son derecede önemli ve efektif bir tedavi yöntemidir. Bu makalede, patoz yaralanmasına bağlı çok geniş skalp defektinin doku genişleticilerin intraoperatif mükerrer kullanılarak başarılı bir şekilde tedavisi sunulmuştur.
