Özet
ÖZET Giriş: Çalışmamızda ultrasonografi ile piramidal lob sıklığını ve piramidal lob boyutları ile tiroid fonksiyon testleri arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığını tespit etmeyi amaçladık. Gereç ve Yöntem: Ekim 2015 ile ekim 2016 tarihleri arasında tiroid ultrasonografi için başvurmuş, erişkin yaş grubunda toplam 644 olgu çalışmamıza dahil edildi. Bulgular: Olgularımızın %15.2’sinde (n=98) piramidal lob mevcuttu. Piramidal lob uzun boyutu ortalama 14.97±5.9 mm, kısa boyutu ortalama 3.99±5.1 mm idi. Piramidal lobu olan hastalar cinsiyete göre değerlendirildiğinde, kadın ve erkek cinsiyet arasında yaş, piramidal lob boyutları ve tiroid fonksiyonları açısından fark yoktu (p>0.05). Piramidal lob boyutları ile tiroid fonksiyon testleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki yoktu. Tartışma: Piramidal lob sıklığı %15.2 olarak tespit edildi ve her iki cinsiyette benzer oranda görüldü. Abstract
ABSTRACTAim:In our study, we aimed to determine whether there is a relationship between thyroid function and presence and dimensions of the pyramidal lobe by ultrasound.MaterialandMethods:Between October 2015 and October 2016, a total of 644 patients in the adult age group who was underwent thyroid ultrasound were included in our study.Results:Pyramidal lob was present in 15.2% (n = 98) of our study group. The average length and width of the pyramidal lobe was 14.97 ± 5.9 mm and 3.99 ± 5.1 mm, respectively. When the patients with pyramidal lobe were evaluated according to gender, there was no difference between male and female sex in terms of age, pyramidal lobe sizes and thyroid functions(p>0.05). There was no significant relationship between pyramidal lobe dimensions and thyroid function tests. Conclusion:Pyramidal lobe incidence was found to be 15.2% and was similar in both sexes.
