Olimpiyat Madalyalı Türk Güreşçilerin Ülke Genelinde İllere Göre Coğrafi Dağılımının İncelenmesi

Özet
Amaç: Bu makale Türkiye adına güreş spor dalında Olimpiyat Oyunlarında madalya alan sporcuların memleketlerinin coğrafi dağılımını tespit etmek amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Yöntem: United World Wrestling veri tabanından, Türkiye adına güreş spor dalından dereceye giren sporcuların isimleri alınmıştır. Ardından bu sporcuların nereli olduğu hakkında tek-tek Google, Google Scholar ve EBSCO veri tabanlarında arama yapılmıştır. Bulgular: Ülkemiz adına en çok Olimpik güreş madalyası alan iller İç Anadolu ve Karadeniz Bölgelerindedir. Bunun dışında Akdeniz, Ege, Doğu Anadolu ve Marmara bölgelerinde bulunan az sayıda il Olimpik güreş madalyası alan sporculara sahiptir. Sonuç: Türkiye’nin ata sporu güreşte aldığı Olimpik madalyaların Ülke genelinde coğrafi olarak yaygın şekilde dağılmadı görülmüştür. Güreş sporunun ülke genelinde yaygınlaştırılmasının Olimpik başarıya katkı sağlayacağı düşüncesindeyiz.
Abstract
Purpose: This article has been prepared in order to determine the geographical distribution of the hometowns of the athletes who won medals in the Olympic Games in wrestling on behalf of Turkey. Method: The names of the athletes who ranked in the wrestling sports branch on behalf of Turkey were taken from the United World Wrestling database. Then, Google, Google Scholar and EBSCO databases were searched one by one about where these athletes were from. Results: The provinces with the most Olympic wrestling medals for our country are in the Central Anatolia and Black Sea Regions. Apart from this, few cities in the Mediterranean, Aegean, Eastern Anatolia and Marmara regions have athletes who have won Olympic wrestling medals. Conclusion: It was observed that the Olympic medals that Turkey received in wrestling, the ancestral sport, were not geographically distributed widely throughout the country. We believe that the spread of wrestling throughout the country will contribute to the Olympic success.
