Reflections of Symbolist Poets in Turkish Literature With Time Theme or Symbol Composed Poems on Turkish Music

Özet

Türk edebiyatında sembolizm akımı etkisinde kalan ve bu doğrultuda şiirlerinde tema olarak zaman temalarını veya simgelerini daha çok ön plana alan sembolist şairlerin şiirlerinin mûsikîye yansıyış biçimlerini ele aldığımız bu çalışmamızda, ilk olarak Sembolizm akımı hakkında bilgiler verilmiş ve bu akımın tesiri altında kalmış Türk edebiyatındaki temsilcileri olan Cenab Şehabettin, Ahmet Hâşim, Ahmet Muhip Dıranas, Ahmed Hamdi Tanpınar ve Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı hakkında genelden özele olacak şekilde bilgiler aktarılmıştır. Edebiyat ve mûsikînin disiplinlerarası yapısı itibarıyla beste ve güfte ilişkisinden faydalanılarak oluşturulan bu çalışmamızın veri toplama sürecinde nitel araştırma yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Bu süreç akabinde literatür taraması yapılarak, ilgili makale, kitap, tez ve web kaynaklarından yararlanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analiz süreci doğrultusunda Cenab Şehabettin, Ahmet Hâşim, Ahmet Muhip Dıranas, Ahmed Hamdi Tanpınar ve Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı’nın zaman tema veya simgesiyle bestelenmiş şiirlerinin mûsikîye yansıma biçimi ele alınmıştır. Elde edilen çıkarımlar ise sonuç kısmına aktarılmıştır.

Abstract

In this study, in which we discuss in what ways the poems of the symbolist poets, who were influenced by the symbolism movement in Turkish literature and who emphasized the themes or time image as themes in their poems, were reflected in music. First, an introduction about the symbolism movement is given, which is followed by information about Cenâb Şehâbeddîn, Ahmet Haşim, Ahmet Muhip Diranas, Ahmed Hamdi Tanpinar, and Cahit Sitki Taranci, who are the representatives of this movement in Turkish literature and were influenced by this movement. Qualitative research methods were used in the data collection process of this study, which was created by utilizing the relationship between composition and lyrics in terms of the interdisciplinary structure of literary and musical arts. Following data collection, a literature review was conducted and relevant articles, books, theses, and web resources were utilized. In line with the analysis of the data obtained, the way the poems of Cenâb Şehâbeddîn, Ahmet Haşim, Ahmet Muhip Dıranas, Ahmed Hamdi Tanpınar, and Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı were composed with the theme or image of time in relation to music is discussed. The inferences drawn from the study are presented in the “Conclusion” section.
