Turizm Eğitimi Alan Öğrencilerin Halfeti Destinasyonuna Yönelik Algılarının Metafor Yoluyla İncelenmesi

Özet
Araştırmanın amacı turizm eğitimi alan öğrencilerin Halfeti destinasyonuna yönelik algılarını metaforlar yoluyla belirlemektir. Bu kapsamda Halfeti Meslek Yüksekokulunda eğitim alan Otel, Lokanta ve İkram Hizmetleri Bölümü ile Seyahat, Turizm ve Eğlence Hizmetleri bölümü öğrencilerinden veri toplanmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan 105 öğrenci tarafından geçerli 80 metafor geliştirildiği belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin Halfeti destinasyonuna yönelik olarak geliştirdikleri metaforlar “Gizem ile ilgili Öğeler”, “Doğa ile ilgili Öğeler”, “Sanat ile ilgili Öğeler”, “Turizm ile ilgili Öğeler”, “Duygular ile ilgili Öğeler”, “Yemekler ile ilgili Öğeler”, “Varlık Öğeleri”, “Aile ve İnsan ile ilgili Öğeler”, “Etkinlik ile ilgili Öğeler” ve “Fırsatlar ile ilgili Öğeler” olmak üzere 10 kategoride toplanmıştır. Öğrencilerin Halfeti’yi açıklarken en çok “saklı cennet” gibi gizem öğelerinden faydalandıkları tespit edilmiştir.
Abstract
The aim of the study is to determine the perceptions of students studying the tourism education towards the Halfeti destination through metaphors. In this context, data were collected from the students of the Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Services Department and the Travel, Tourism and Entertainment Services Department at Halfeti Vocational School. It was determined that 80 valid metaphors were developed by 105 students participating in the study. The metaphors developed by the students for the Halfeti destination are “Elements related to Mystery”, “Elements related to Nature”, “Elements related to Art”, “Elements related to Tourism”, “Elements related to Emotions”, “Elements related to Food”, Elements of Assets”, “Family and Human Elements”, “Event-related Elements” and “Opportunity-related Elements”. They were collected in 10 categories. It was determined that the students mostly utilized from mystery elements such as "hidden paradise" while explaining Halfeti.
