Özet

Sosyal medya, artık günümüzde demokratik hayatın önemli güçlerinden biridir. Politik pazarlama ise seçimlerde, seçmen tercihinde etkili unsurlardandır ve siyasal partilerin seçim başarısı, politik pazarlama ile doğrudan bağlantılıdır. Türkiye’de seçmenlerin önemli bir bölümünü gençler oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit Üniversitesi (ZBEÜ) öğrencilerinin, oy verme tercihinde sosyal medyadaki politik pazarlama faaliyetlerinin etkisini ortaya koymaktır. Bu bağlamda ZBEÜ’de okuyan 392 öğrenci ile bir anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Öğrenciler, oy verme tercihinde, sosyal medyadaki politik pazarlama faaliyetlerinden az ve orta derecede etkilenmektedir. Ayrıca, öğrenciler, sosyal medyada tartışma ve paylaşımda, çekimser davranırken, %57,4’ü sosyal medyada siyasi reklamları izlemekte ve %45,6’sı seçim kampanyalarını sosyal medyadan takip etmektedir. Elde edilen bir diğer önemli sonuç da öğrencilerin oy verme tercihinde "parti liderlerinin sosyal medyadaki destekçi sayılarına" en fazla önem verdiğidir.

Abstract

Social media is one of the important forces of democratic life today. Political marketing, on the other hand, is one of the effective factors in electoral promotion and the election success of political parties is directly related to political marketing. Young people constitute a significant part of the voters in Turkey. The aim of the study is to reveal the effect of political marketing activities in social media on the voting preference of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University students. In this context, a survey was conducted with 392 students studying at ZBEÜ. Among the results obtained, students' voting preferences were affected slightly or moderately by political marketing activities in social media, and "party leaders' number of supporters in social media" was the most important in students' voting preference, while students abstain from discussing and sharing on social media, 57.4% of them watch political advertisements on social media and 45.6% follow election campaigns on social media. Students are slightly or moderately affected by political marketing activities in social media in their voting preferences. Another important result is that the students give the most importance to "the number of supporters of the party leaders on social media" in their voting preferences.
