Özet
Yeni teknolojilerle şekillenen, sürekli değişim ve gelişim gösteren endüstriyel ortam sebebiyle, işgücüne katılmak üzere olan öğrenciler, endüstrinin ihtiyaç ve beklentilerini karşılamalıdır. Bu durum, öğrencilerin kendilerini geliştirmelerini ve aldıkları akademik eğitimin de yeni teknolojilerle uyumluluğu ile sağlanabilir. Bu bağlamda, endüstri mühendisliği öğrencilerinin Endüstri 4.0 başlığı altında konumlanmış yeni teknolojilere olan ilgilerinin ve bilgi düzeylerinin tespiti, öğrencilerin kendilerini hangi konularda yetkin ya da yetersiz hissettiklerinin araştırılması önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, endüstri mühendisliği öğrencilerinin Endüstri 4.0 farkındalıklarının araştırılmasıdır. Çalışmada kullanılan veriler, Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi Endüstri Mühendisliği’nde 2018 Bahar döneminde eğitimine devam eden öğrencilere anket çalışması uygulanarak elde edilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda, 118 katılımcıdan elde edilen anket verileri kullanılarak SPSS programı aracılığıyla yapılan istatistiksel analizler yorumlanmıştır. Sonuçlar, öğrencilerin Endüstri 4.0'a bakış açısını ortaya koymuş ve mühendislik eğitimi ile ilgili öncelikli hususları ve öğrencilerin beklentilerini açığa çıkarmıştır.
Abstract
Due to the constantly changing and evolving industrial environment shaped by new technologies, students who are about to join the labor force must meet the needs and expectations of the industry. This can be ensured by the students' self-improvement and the compatibility of their academic education with the new technologies. In this context, to determine the level of knowledge and interest of industrial engineering students on new technologies related to Industry 4.0, and to investigate on which subjects they feel themselves competent or inadequate is getting more and more important. The aim of this study is to investigate the Industrial 4.0 awareness of industrial engineering students. The data used in the study were obtained from the questionnaire applied to the students who were studying in the Industrial Engineering Department of Eskişehir Osmangazi University in the spring term of 2018. The results revealed the students' view of Industry 4.0 and highlighted the priorities and expectations of students about engineering education.
