Özet

Talas American College Buildings that are one of the base stations of American Board of Commissionersfor Foreign Missions’ educational activities carried out in Turkey in the 19th century, have managed tomake a significant imprint on the cultural and architectural underground of the city’s memory with thedifferent functions that they have undertaken. Due to the intensive use of the building complex by ErciyesUniversity since 1978, restoration was needed and a conservation project was prepared in accordancewith contemporary conservation principles.With this study, that was supported by Erciyes University Scientific Researh Project Department (no 4440),it is aimed to set a model to be followed during the preparation of conservation projects. In this context,the process and methods used during the preparation of the project have been summarized aiming toincrease the quality of restoration practices in the region and to contribute to scientific literature.1.
