Özet
Bu çalışmada; küreselleşmeyle birlikte terör faaliyetlerinin uluslararası alanda artması ve bu olaylara karşı alınan önlemlerin ülkelerin ekonomilerine etkisinin analiz edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Terörün ülke ekonomileri üzerindeki etkilerini tespit edebilmek için; savunma harcamaları, turizm gelirleri, yabancı sermaye yatırımları ve borsa endeksi gibi makro ekonomik değişkenler ele alınmış ve ekonomiye etkileri incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonuçları, literatürde yer alan diğer çalışmaların sonuçları ile karşılaştırılmış ve benzer bir şekilde, terörün, makro ekonomik değişkenler üzerindeki olumsuz etkisi tespit edilmiştir.
Abstract
In this study; it is aimed to analyze the effect of the terrorist activities to the countries economies which is increased with globalization between the nations. In order to be able to detect the effects of terrorism on country's economies; defense expenditures, tourism incomes, foreign capital investments and stock market indexes are examined and the economic effects are examined. The results of the study are compared with the results of other studies in the literature and in a similar way, the negative effect of terrorism on macroeconomic variables was determined.
