Özet
Sosyal Bilgiler, Sosyal Bilgiler Ulusal Konseyince vatandaşlık yeterlilikleri kazandırmaya yönelik disiplinler arası bir çalışma alanı olarak tanımlanır. Sosyal bilgilerin, öğrencilere aktarılmasında en önemli ögelerden biri sosyal bilgiler öğretmenleri diğeri sınıf öğretmenleridir. Araştırmanın amacı Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı ortaokullardaki sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin, 2005 Sosyal Bilgiler öğretim programı 4. sınıf öğrenme alanlarının öğrencilere verilmesinde, sınıf öğretmenlerinden beklentilerinin incelenmesidir. Çalışma nitel araştırma deseninde olup verilerin toplanması için yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde içerik analizi ve betimsel analizden faydalanılmıştır. Çalışma grubu Bolu’da görev yapan 20 sosyal bilgiler öğretmeninden oluşmaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilere milli bilinç kazandırılması, öğretim yöntem ve tekniklerine dikkat edilmesi, okuma alışkanlığı kazandırılması ve sorgulayan – hakkını arayan bireyler yetiştirilmesi gibi beklentiler ortaya çıkmıştır. Sosyal bilgileri öğretmenlerinin, sınıf öğretmenlerinden beklentilerinin belirlenmesi, sosyal bilgiler öğretiminin ortaokul seviyesinde etkin bir şekilde verilmesi bakımından önemlidir.
Abstract
The Social studies is defined as an interdisciplinary field of study for acquiring citizenship competences in the National Council of Social Studies. Social studies and primary school teachers are the most important elements in transferring social studies to the students. The purpose of the research is to examine the expectation of the teachers of social studies in the secondary schools attached to the Ministry of National Education, from the teachers of the class, when the social studies curriculum of the 4th grade learning areas of 2005 is given to the students. The study was in a qualitative research design and semistructured interview form and interview technique were used to collect the data. Content analysis and descriptive analysis were used to analyze the data. The study group consists of 20 social studies teachers working in Bolu. As a result of the researches, expectation has emerged like giving national consciousness to the students, paying attention to teaching methods and techniques, acquiring reading habits and training individuals who are looking for the right to question. The determination of the expectations of social science teachers from classroom teachers is important in that social studies education is effectively provided at the secondary school level.
