Özet

Amaç: Şizofreni, hasta olan birey kadar ailesini ve özellikle çocuklarını etkileyen ruhsal bir hastalıktır. Bu araştırmada ebeveyni şizofreni hastası olan bireylerin psikiyatrik belirtilerini incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipte olan bu araştırmaya ebeveyni şizofreni hastası olan 200 yetişkin birey katılmıştır. Araştırma Kırşehir ilinde Toplum Ruh Sağlığı Merkezi’ne kayıtlı şizofreni hastalarının yetişkin çocukları ile 14-18 Mart 2022’de yapılmıştır. Veriler, Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu ve Kısa Semptom Envanteri ile toplanmıştır. Veri analizinde nonparametrik testlerden Mann Whitney-U, Kruskal Wallis-H ve Spearman korelasyon testleri kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan bireylerin yaş ortalaması 34.83+8.43 olup, ölçek puan ortalaması 17.26±18.35’dir. Abstract

Purpose: Schizophrenia is a mental illness that affects the family and especially the children as much as the patient. In this study, it was aimed to examine the psychiatric symptoms of individuals whose parents have schizophrenia. Methods: 200 adult individuals whose parents had schizophrenia participated in this descriptive and cross-sectional study. The research was carried out with adult children of schizophrenia patients registered in the Community Mental Health Center in XX province on 14-18 March 2022. Data were collected by Descriptive Information Form and Brief Symptom Inventory. Mann Whitney-U, Kruskal Wallis-T and Spearman correlation tests, which are nonparametric tests, were used in data analysis. Results: The mean age of the individuals participating in the study was 34.83+8.43 and the mean score of the scale was 17.26±18.35.
