İlk ve Acil Yardım Programı Öğrencilerinin Yaz Stajı Hakkındaki Görüşlerinin İncelenmesi

Özet
Amaç: Stajlar, öğrencilerin mesleki becerilerini kazanmalarını, mesleğe adapte olmalarını ve alanlarını yakından tanımalarını sağlar. Bu araştırmanın amacı, ilk ve acil yardım programı öğrencilerinin yaz stajı hakkındaki görüşlerinin incelenmesi ve elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda yaz stajının kalitesini artırmaya yönelik yeni önerilerin geliştirilmesidir. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı tipteki bu çalışma, Eylül 2018 tarihinde Gümüşhane Üniversitesi Kelkit Sağlık Hizmetleri Meslek Yüksekokulu’nda İlk ve Acil Yardım Programı birinci sınıfını bitirmiş ve yaz stajını tamamlamış 100 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirildi. Araştırmanın verileri “Anket Formu” ile toplandı. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde sayı, yüzde, ortalama ve standart sapma kullanıldı. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin %58’i erkek ve yaş ortalaması 19.03±1.64’dür. Öğrencilerin %58’i yaz stajını hastane acil servisinde yapmıştır. Öğrencilerin yaz stajını gerekli gördükleri (%99) ve 30 günlük staj süresini uygun bulduğu (%55) belirlendi. Öğrenciler, yaz stajının yıl içi ve birinci sınıfın yaz döneminde olması gerektiğini (%56), stajın kendilerine tecrübe kazandıracağını (%98), stajdan memnun olduklarını (%92), mesleki tecrübe kazanmaları için kurum çalışanlarının kendilerine ilgi gösterdiklerini (%92), pratik yapma fırsatı bulduklarını (%13.1), staj dosyasına sadece önemli vakaların yazılması gerektiğini (%34.1) ve stajı daha etkin hale getirmek için stajın yıl içinde yapılması gerektiğini (%18.6) ifade etmişlerdir. Sonuç: Öğrencilerin büyük bir çoğunluğu yaz stajından memnundur. Öğrencilerin yaz stajından istendik düzeyde yararlanabilmesi için etkili planlamalar yapılmalıdır. Öğrencilerin görüş ve önerileri doğrultusunda, ilk ve acil yardım programı müfredatında bulunan “Mesleki Uygulama-I” ve “Mesleki Uygulama-II” derslerinin haftanın iki günü tam zamanlı uygulama eğitimi kapsamında hastanede staj olarak yapılmasına karar verildi.
Abstract
Objective: Internships enable students' to acquire their professional skills, adapt to the profession and become familiar with their fields. The purpose of this study is to examine the views of first and emergency students on summer internship and to develop new proposals to improve the quality of summer internship in line with the results.Method: This descriptive study was carried out in September 2018 with a total of 100 students who completed the first and the first summer internship at the Kelkit Health Services Vocational School in Gümüşhane University. The data of the study were collected with "Survey Form". Number, percentage, mean and standard deviation were used to evaluate the data.Results: The students participating in the study, %58 was man and the mean age was 19.03 ± 1.64. Fifty-eight percent of students (58%) of the students had their summer internship at the hospital emergency department. It was determined that the students considered necessary the summer internship (99%) and found the 30-day internship period appropriate (55%). The students stated that the summer internship should be in the summer period of the first year and in-year (56%), the internship will gain experience (98%), were are satisfied with the internship (92%), that the employees of the institution show interest to them to gain professional experience (92%), had the opportunity to practice (13.1%), only important cases should be written in the internship file (34.1%) and that the internship should be done within the year (18.6%) in order to make the internship more effective. Conclusion: The majority of students are satisfied with their summer internship. Effective planning should be made in order for the students to benefit from the summer practice. In line with the opinions and suggestions of the students, it was decided that the "Vocational Practice-I ”and " Vocational Practice-II” courses located in the first and emergency aid programs are to be held in the hospital as an internship within the scope of full-time practice training two days a week
