Özet
Amaç: Üniversiteler toplumların bilimsel, ekonomik, teknolojik, sosyal ve kültürel gelişmelerinde önemli rol oynamaktadır. Üniversite; toplumsal ve bireysel yaşam kalitesini iyileştirmek için bilimsel ve teknik bilgi ile mesleki becerileri sağlayan dinamik bir kurumdur. Üniversite kampüsünün ve kentinin öğrencilerin temel ihtiyaçlarını karşılamaya yeterli olması durumunda, eğitim kalitesi ve öğrencilerin başarısı artacaktır. Bu araştırma, üniversite yerleşkesi ve şehrinin temel ihtiyaçlarını karşılaması konusunda öğrencilerin memnuniyetlerini, sorunlarını ve çözüm önerilerini saptamak amacı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Tanımlayıcı türde planlanan araştırma Orta Anadolu Bölgesi’nde yer alan bir üniversitenin 368 öğrencisinde anket formu yüz-yüze görüşme tekniği ile uygulanarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler sayı, yüzdelikler, ortalama ve korelasyon analizi kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir.Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan öğrenciler 18-30 yaş aralığında olup, yaş ortalamaları 21,22±1,62’dir. Öğrencilerin üniversite yerleşkesi ve şehrinin temel ihtiyaçları karşılamaya ilişkin memnuniyet oranlarının genel olarak % 50’nin altında olduğu saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin üniversite yerleşkesi ve şehri ile ilgili memnuniyetleri arasında güçlü ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Üniversitenin tercih edilirliğini artırmak için sorunların giderilmesi, bu konuda öğrencilerin önerilerinin dikkate alınması önemlidir.
Abstract
Aim: Universities play an important role in the scientific, economic, technological, social and cultural developments of societies. University; is a dynamic institution that provides scientific and technical knowledge and professional skills to improve the quality of social and individual life. In the event that university campus and city are sufficient for meeting the basic needs of students, the quality of education and achievement of students will increase. This study was conducted for the purpose of determining the satisfactions, problems and solution suggestions of students about university campus and city regarding meeting their basic needs.Materyal and Methods: The descriptive study was conducted by applying questionnaire forms to 368 students at a university in the Central Anatolian Region via face-to-face interview technique. The data acquired from the study were evaluated by using number, percentages, mean and correlation analysis. Results: Students who participated in the study were in the age range of 18-30 and had an age mean of 21,22±1,62. It was determined that satisfaction rates of students about university campus and city regarding meeting their basic needs were generally below 50%. There was a strong and statistically significant relationship between their satisfactions with campus and city. Conclusion: It is recommended to remove the problems in order to increase the preferability of university and consider the suggestions of students on this subject.
