This study is conducted to determine problems of breeders in Igdir province whose main source of livelihood is migrant stockbreeding, to evaluate their opinions on the solution of these problems, and, thereby provide alternatives on the solutions. With this aim, a questionnaire is applied to 174 members registered with union of Sheep-Goat Breeders. Obtained data are subjected to c2 (Chi-square) test. The rates of incidence of some diseases are determined with the evaluation of the test results. The rate of incidence intervals for foot-and-mouth disease, pneumonia, enterotoxemia, anthrax, agalactia, footrot, plague (PPR), hepatitis and sheep pox are 66.7-100.0%, 36.4-53.8%, 88.5-100%, 0-15.4%, 15.4-60.6%, 43.9-54.5%, 0-8.0%, 67.8-84.8% and 28.7-61.5%, respectively. The rates of incidence for abortion, brucellosis and repeat breeding are determined as 9.1-41.4%, 72.4-81.8% and 3.3-12.6%, respectively. Causes of animal deaths are reported as nutritional diseases, bacterial and viral diseases, pneumonia, diarrhea, and other diseases by 58.62%, 41.38%, 37.93%, 48.28% and 5.17% of the breeding enterprises, respectively. According to breeder responses, parasites are seen in 89.66% of the enterprises and no parasites are seen in the remaining 10.34%. 81.61% of the breeders reported incidence of ticks, while 61,49% reported mange, 3.45% fungus, 46.55% lice and 14.94% fleas.
