NECÎB MAHFÛZ‘UN HÂN EL-HALÎLÎ ROMANINDA MEKAN İZLEĞİ

Özet

Modern Mısır Edebiyatının en ünlü ve Nobel ödüllü yazarı olan Necîb Mahfûz‟un, 1946 yılında yayımlanan Hân el-Halîlî romanı, adından da anlaşılacağı üzere mekân unsurunun, roman karakteri olarak ortaya çıktığı bir eserdir. Yazar bu eserinde, anlatmak istediği toplumsal olayları ve ilişkileri, mekân zemininde temellendirerek, mekân unsurunun önemini okuyucuya birinci elden duyumsatmıştır. Romanda adı geçen mekânların karmaşık mimari yapısı ve kargaşası, roman karakterlerinin psikolojik yapılarıyla son derece örtüşmektedir

Abstract

The novel “Hân el-Halîlî”, published in 1946 by Necib Mahfûz, the most famous and Nobel Awarded author of modern Egyptian Literature, is a work in which the element of setting, as it is understood from the name, appears novel character. The author made the reader feel the importance of setting element by founding the social events and relationships he wanted to narrate on the basis of setting. The complex architectural structure and confusion of the settings mentioned in the novel correspond to the psychological nature of the characters of novel. In this study, we tried to examine the concept of setting matched and integrated with the characters of the novel on the basis of Hân elHalîlî” by Necip Mahfûz
