Abstract

Mankind has always tried different ways to learn about its future, whether it is to change, to be protected or just to be curious. Tinnitus and twitches, which can be described as involuntary, small movements that can be seen on the surface of the skin as a result of the slight movement of the skin or thin muscles, have also been seen as signs that predict the future of people. In order to interpret the meaning of these signs, many verses or prose are written in the form of individual or part of other works. These segirnames contribute to Turkish literature due to both folkloric and grammatical features. In this study, the segirname, registered in the National Library 06 Hk 2560/1, which was identified as the author/copyist Mehmet İlmi, was transferred to today's Turkish by means of transcription letters.
